About Us
St. John’s was founded by Margaret Zimmerman on June 23, 1880. The church was founded as a memorial to her late husband, who sadly passed away on their honeymoon. It was to be a country church, that would serve the local towns that once surrounded it. To learn more about our history please visit the “history” tab of this site.

What We Believe
We Episcopalians believe in a loving, liberating, and life-giving God: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
We believe in following the teachings of Jesus Christ, whose life, death, and resurrection saved the world.
We have a legacy of inclusion, aspiring to tell and exemplify God’s love for every human being; women and men serve as bishops, priests, and deacons in our church. Laypeople and clergy cooperate as leaders at all levels of our church. Leadership is a gift from God, and can be expressed by all people in our church, regardless of sexual identity or orientation.
We believe that God loves you – no exceptions.
Hosting YOUR event at St. John’s
St. John’s barn(located directly across the street from the church) is available as a hall for rent. Our barn is available for rent* as a space for church retreats, bridal showers, baby showers, wedding receptions, holiday parties, etc. * Please note, due to COVID-19 protocols our barn is currently unavailable. Our rectory is available for rent as a small event hall.
We will also work along side you to host other more personal events such as: Weddings, Baptisms and Funerals.
